Still in progress. The right page's instruction circles are going to open and there will be instruction of that process. Also at the bottom of the right page there will be the same dog giving some facts about egg collecting during WWI and so on. I think that bright colours works perfect as I am aiming for the younger audience, and images aren't 'perfect'' so child would feel more interactive. On the first page there should be pull outs of ingridients too.

They Draw & Cook
Absolutely love the design, layout and illustrations of this cookbook. Looks very professional and eye-catching. As an illustration student i find this recipe book very playful and cute. You can see various techiques too. From screenprinting look to totally digital look. Cute characters too. Typograpghy is different on every page which give unique look.
Food is Fun!
I really like the idea of limited colour pallet. Looks like the book has been screenprinted which gives that handmade feeling. Again, although this book is aimed for children, in my opinion the text is a bit too small, but the typoghraphy looks playful and eye-catching. Also there are various different typography styles which makes the book look more appealing. Although the book cover looks really simple, the inside of the book has more textures and different styles which makes the book stand out of other books. And the cover also is very bright so there's no chance you cannot see this book from far away.
Farm Anatomy: The Curious Parts & Pieces of Country Life
Absolutely lovely book. Love the fact that you can even find instructions of how to milk a cow. Illustrations are adorable and page layout is effective too. Wouldn't say that this cookbook is aimed for children as the typography is quite complicated, and you can find quite a lot of text. Book cover seems to tell that this book is going to be based on traditional meals. Love that it's kind of a diary style: on one page you can see illustrations and then on the next page are instructions. Overall really appealing book.
Picture Cook. See.Make.Eat
Love the idea of separating all of the ingridients as showed in the lasagna recipe. Recipes look appealing and eye catching, but i don't know working only with illustrations works that good. Although illustrations are lovely i would like more colors maybe. But overall it looks good, and looks like the entire book was screenprinted because of the limited color pallet.
The Illustrated Student Cookbook
I find this book really appealing. Love the way illustrations are combined with photography. Also there is a smart thinking of using certain colours in certain recipes. The layout looks neat and well considered. Overall the recipe book looks very eye-catching and appealing. Although it is aimed for students but i think it would suit older children between 7-11 years, because of the complexity of illustrations and that there isn't any characters that would keep younger children interacted.

The Silver Spoon for Children
I thought that the design and layout is very smart. Also as an illustration student i really appreciate cute hand drawn illustrations. This cookbook is aimed for children so the illustrations are very simple and clear but at the same time they work perfect. You are not bored after couple of pages too. Typography looks playful and cute. I love he fact that not everything is illustrated but that there are photographs as well as illustrations.
